Consumer units and board upgrades
Old boards swapped for a full FuseBox RCBO board, giving overcurrent and additional protection to every final circuit. We always pre test before a board change.
HMO-ready boards
Full RCBO protection, arc fault detection devices on all socket outlets and surge protection devices, finished as one very neat job.
Sockets, switches and new wiring
From installing sockets and switches to new wiring, for homes and businesses, domestic or commercial.
Kitchen electrics
Appliance switches wired into the backs of cupboards, ovens and induction hobs connected, LED strip and LED profile for task and ambience lighting.
Outside lights
Lights on the outside of the house, with a smart bit of SDS drilling to keep the cables in the prescribed wiring zones, and RCBO protection.
EV chargers
Home chargers such as the Project EV Apex 7.3kW, with dedicated RCD protection, built-in PEN fault detection and full control from an app.
Hive smart heating
Control your heating and hot water anytime from anywhere via your phone, so you never come home to a cold house.
Commercial lighting and three-phase
Fluorescent strip outs, conduit runs, rewired lighting circuits, LED high bays, and three-phase supplies for commercial sites.

Board changes
Always pre test before a board change
Upgrading an old consumer unit can be more than a little tricky, with years of add-ons and quite often very little cable to work with. Cables and armoured SWA can come in from every angle, so the prep matters.
We run a quick pre test before the old board comes off. That way the new board gets a first time start up and a clean bill of health, and every final circuit has overcurrent and additional protection from its own RCBO.

- Full strip out of 30 double 8ft fluorescent fittings

Three-phase power for Network Rail
630mm single core SWA cables run in parallel to bring three-phase power to a Network Rail service station. It took some man power: we used the specified Cembre hydraulic crimpers on those lugs, terminated into a Schneider board, because you can’t beat a Schneider DB when it comes to the big stuff.
Kitchens and lighting
A clutter free kitchen
On a recent Wren kitchen the customer wanted nothing cluttering the space above the worktop. We wired all the appliance control switches into the back of the cupboards, still easy to reach if anything ever needs switching off and disconnecting for maintenance.
The Quooker instant boiling water tap sits tucked away under the sink, leaving the AEG single oven and induction hob centre stage. Robus LED strip and LED profile give a clean, continuous 4k beam for task and ambience lighting. Then it’s over to the decorator for the finishing touches.

The best part of the job
Anyone who knows us will tell you how much we love our animals and nature. The best part of the job is all the places we get to work and all the pets and animals we meet along the way. Cats, dogs, horses, cows, if it’s got fur, feathers, four or eight legs, we love it. Be warned: long delays expected if you introduce us to your pets.
